Our client, a key player in the Construction sector, is currently seeking an Assistant Project Controls Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves supporting all aspects of project controls and reporting, ensuring the smooth execution of projects under the guidance of a Project Controls Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development and schedule control
- Assist in project set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software
- Input data, maintain logs, and run reports using planning and control tools
- Help with creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for small projects
- Review and approve Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for proper coding
- Input changes to cost reports or forecasts and document them
- Assist with upstream and downstream change orders
- Assist in the development and review of various levels of schedules, including logic ties and resource loading
- Coordinate project schedules and create scheduling reports
- Develop and maintain an earned value management system and progress curves
- Perform quality checks, field audits, and inspections on project controls deliverables
- Comply with all company policies and standards
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification or ability to obtain it
- Willingness to take on a field assignment
