Our client, a public sector organisation in London, is currently seeking a Highways Development Management Officer on a contract basis. This role is essential in managing development impacts on the highways network and ensuring compliance with planning obligations, such as S106 agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing development proposals to ascertain their impact on the highways network
- Ensuring compliance with S106 agreements and other relevant planning obligations
- Providing technical advice on highway development matters to developers and stakeholders
- Coordinating development-related highway works and liaising with contractors
- Preparing technical reports and contributing to planning consultations
- Reviewing and approving highway layouts and accesses proposed by developers
- Managing and monitoring development works to ensure they meet required standards
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to facilitate successful project delivery
Job Requirements:
- Experience in development management related to highways
- Understanding of S106 agreements and their application in development projects
- Strong knowledge of highways design principles and standards
