Site Supervisor (Civil/Mechanical)- Solar Energy Project

Duration: 14 months
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are supporting our client in securing an experienced Site Supervisor (Civil/Mechanical ) to support a major Solar energy construction project. This role is ideal for professionals with strong civil/mechanical engineering expertise and practical on site experience within large scale infrastructure or energy projects.
Key Requirements
- Civil Engineering qualification
- Minimum 3 years' relevant site experience, including:
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety
- Experience in general civil construction, reinforcement detailing, and checking
- Renewable energy project experience preferred (substations, cable installation, inverter/PV installation, civil BoP works)
- SMSTS or NEC4 Supervision accreditation (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving license
Role Responsibilities
The Site Supervisor will support project delivery through comprehensive on site oversight, including:
Construction Supervision
- Monitor site progress against programme and prepare review reports
- Assess work quality, including pre/post‑concrete inspections
- Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and approved RAMS
- Review contractor documentation such as RAMS, TMP and CMP
Project Support
- Contribute to monthly progress meetings and reporting
- Maintain trackers for construction activities and deliveries
- Assist the Project Manager with EPC/ICP contract obligations
- Support in assessing milestone applications
Health, Safety & Quality
- Conduct H&S audits/observations
- Report and log NCRs
- Perform snagging and coordinate close out with contractors
Commissioning & Interfaces
- Monitor mechanical and civil commissioning activities
- Support Project Manager with third party interfaces
- Assist in applications for Provisional Acceptance Certificates
Environmental & Compliance
- Ongoing review of planning conditions and consents
- Liaise with Environmental Clerk of Works as required
