Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a skilled Logistics operative - driver with HGV1 lisence & tacho card to join their team on a contract basis in Barrow. This position is vital to the efficient and secure transportation of goods within the high-stakes field of submarine solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for the transportation of materials and equipment
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods in compliance with defence and security protocols
- Adhere to site-specific safety and security procedures
- Complete all necessary logs and documentation accurately
- Maintain vehicles in line with legal and company standards
- Collaborate effectively with the logistics team and other departments
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of operations
- No loading or unloading required
Job Requirements:
- HGV Class 1 licence is essential
- Experience in the warehouse sectors is advantageous
- Ability to pass BPSS and SC security clearance
- Flexibility to work 3 on 4 off 12-hour shifts, with the first few weeks requiring 5 days onsite for induction
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
