Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead recruitment partner for all Canadian business units, understanding staffing needs, forecasting future hires, and developing talent acquisition plans.
- Consult with hiring managers to define position requirements and create effective interview and selection strategies.
- Provide guidance and market intelligence to business leaders for informed hiring decisions.
- Develop and implement sophisticated sourcing strategies using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and professional networks.
- Manage a robust pipeline of talent to meet current and future business demands.
- Represent the company professionally, communicating its culture, values, and opportunities to potential candidates.
- Oversee the full candidate lifecycle, from initial screening to coordinating interviews.
- Prepare, negotiate, and extend employment offers in partnership with Human Resources and hiring managers.
- Develop and report on key recruitment metrics to provide data-driven insights.
- Ensure compliance of all recruitment activities with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance on recruitment best practices to junior team members.
- Develop and deliver training programs for hiring managers on interviewing techniques and selection best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Significant experience in full-lifecycle technical recruitment, particularly within the engineering, architecture, or construction industries.
- Expertise in modern sourcing strategies with proficiency in tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant to business leaders with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to recruitment challenges.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs for hiring managers on recruitment best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, including federal and provincial laws.
- Ability to build strong consultative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
