Location: Whiteley (est 2 days per week onsite)
Duration: 6-month initial contract
Rate: £200 per day PAYE which is equivalent to £267.84 per day UMB (Inside IR35).
Role details:
NATS (National Air Traffic Services) are looking for two enthusiastic graduates from a Physics or Mathematics background to join their Research team within the aerospace, defence, and security sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and report on fast-time simulation and analysis tasks
- Conduct robust analytics using advanced Excel skills and various bespoke tools
- Model real-world situations accurately based on customer requirements
- Input data for airport capacity enhancement projects worldwide
- Support the continuous improvement of the capability area
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence change
- Contribute to the department's goal to optimise decision-making via scientific excellence
- Support the implementation of the client's vision for future air traffic management
Job Requirements:
- Graduate level education in Physics or Mathematics
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in using advanced Excel and bespoke analytical tools
- Knowledge of programming in C# or advanced database skills (SQL, Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse systems) is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and deliver accurate models
- Interest in aerospace, defence, and security sectors
