Our client, a major player in the Buildings sector, is currently seeking a Lifecycle Costing QS Lead on a contract basis to support their operations across the UK. This role will be pivotal in delivering accurate lifecycle assessments and strategic cost advice across a range of building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of lifecycle cost models from first principles using capex and other cost reference data.
- Prepare lifecycle cost assessments in line with ISO 15686‑5.
- Produce options studies comparing strategic, system, elemental, and product-level design choices.
- Prepare and contribute to BREEAM-compliant lifecycle and costing reports.
- Support lifecycle planning and costing activities using survey-derived data where applicable.
- Provide technical leadership to junior QS team members and offer collaborative support across the Project, Programme and Commercial Management (PMCM) team.
- Ensure lifecycle models and assessments align with industry standards and project-specific requirements.
- Work effectively across a geographically dispersed team with occasional travel to local offices (2-3 days per week expected).
