Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Business Analyst to join them on a contract basis at their site in Harlow.

  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to obtain full SC Clearance.
  • 12 month initial contract.

  • Based in Harlow, hybrid working 2-3 days per week onsite.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Business Analyst to support a major ERP transformation initiative. This role focuses on gathering and analysing business requirements, supporting solution design, and ensuring successful delivery of ERP upgrades including the preparation and cleansing of existing data records. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyse current business processes and identify areas for improvement aligned with ERP capabilities.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for the PST program team, with a focus on identifying UK-specific requirements in the global process design.
  • Support the design and implementation of ERP solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather insights and drive consensus.
  • Assist in the preparation of data for migration, including supporting master data structure changes, data cleansing and creation.
  • Assist in the development of test plans and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with project managers, solution architects, and developers in the UK and US teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Contribute to change impact assessments and readiness activities.

Qualifications You Must Have *

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within transformation or ERP-related projects.
  • Proven experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong understanding of business process mapping and improvement.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise-level change initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with use case diagrams, user stories, and process flows.
  • Knowledge of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
  • Writing test cases and supporting UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking.
