About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major hyperscale data centre project in Norway. This role is ideal for a commercially sharp QS with strong mechanical and electrical experience, looking to work on one of Europe's most technically advanced mission‑critical builds.
You will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of MEP packages, supporting procurement, and ensuring accurate cost control from pre‑construction through commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of MEP packages on a large‑scale data centre project.
- Prepare BOQs, estimates, valuations, variations, and cost reports.
- Lead procurement activities for specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review and negotiate contracts, claims, and compensation events.
- Conduct regular site visits to validate progress and measure works.
- Track cost trends and forecast financial outcomes with accuracy.
- Work closely with the project team, design consultants, and client representatives.
- Ensure all commercial processes comply with internal and contractual governance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor on large‑scale construction projects.
- Previous data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial, or mission‑critical experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and associated packages.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractor accounts in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial negotiation skills.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Willingness to work in Norway on rotation or full-time assignment.
- EU/UK passport or relevant work permit for Norway.
