Our Water company client are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join their Snodland based team on a permanent basis.
You will play a key role in supporting and delivering capital projects, ensuring technical excellence, and guiding junior team members as they develop. This role combines office-based collaboration (minimum three days per week) with site visits to support project delivery and contractor oversight.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify project scopes to ensure they align with required outcomes.
- Provide technical solutions and support across capital projects, producing key documentation such as design drawings, CDM documentation, and job specification packs.
- Undertake technical checks on work completed by others to ensure high-quality output.
- Mentor Graduate Civil Engineers and apprentices, supporting their professional development.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to secure project approvals.
- Conduct site audits, offering guidance and assurance to contractors.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a similar Civil Engineer role with the ability to manage your own deliverables.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and specifications.
- Solid knowledge of CDM 2015 and its practical application on projects.
- Experience in the design, construction, or maintenance of infrastructure and/or non‑infrastructure assets.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
