Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plan Checker - Class 2A-B to join their Building Control team on a contract basis. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety and compliance of building projects within Oxford, maintaining high standards in line with national regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing architectural and structural plans to ensure compliance with building regulations
- Identifying any discrepancies or issues within submitted plans and providing clear feedback
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and developers to resolve plan-related issues
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of plan checks and related communications
- Providing expert advice on building control matters
- Ensuring projects adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Participating in site inspections as needed to verify compliance
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in building regulations and standards
