Overview: Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support software configuration management, build management, and engineering toolchains across multiple projects. Working closely with the DevOps / Configuration Manager and the wider DevOps team, you will support a variety of engineering groups from small agile teams to large, multi‑site programmes. Your work will directly contribute to research, development, and production efforts across their client portfolio.
The role involves developing, maintaining and continuously improving CI pipelines while acting as the primary DevOps contact for project teams, monitoring and troubleshooting the DevOps environment, researching enhancements, and validating proposed changes.
You'll work across the full development lifecycle to design, implement and test solutions, developing software ranging from bare‑metal MCU and signal processing to Embedded Linux, GUI applications and data analytics, using languages such as Rust, C/C++, Python and web frameworks.
The position also includes interacting with FPGAs and hardware teams, collaborating in an agile environment to balance requirements, schedule and cost, producing clear documentation throughout the development process, and ensuring all work complies with Government security regulations.
Experience needed:
- Degree in an engineering, mathematical or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
- Experience in DevOps.
Desirable:
- Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous.

Working: This role is full time office based with possible flexible working hours and potential for a compressed working week.
