Our client, a key player in the water sector, is currently seeking Civil Design Engineers with experience in water projects to join their team on a contract basis. This role covers a variety of AMP8 projects, particularly focusing on United Utilities and Anglian Water non-infra projects as well as some infra projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing civil engineering solutions for water sector projects
- Working on a variety of AMP8 projects, including both non-infra and infra works
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Providing technical expertise and input throughout project lifecycles
- Utilising industry-leading software to deliver high-quality designs
- Conducting site visits and assessments when necessary
- Ensuring all designs comply with regulatory and safety standards
- Working flexibly and remotely, with a preference for those able to visit the Manchester office when required
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering within the water sector
- Ability to work on a range of AMP8 projects
- Expertise in designing both non-infra and infra water projects
- Proficiency with relevant civil design software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work remotely and travel as needed
- Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
