A well-established defence organisation are urgently seeking experienced Project Controllers to support the delivery of several complex aerospace projects in Yeovil.

  • Role: Project Controller
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Pay: Up to £26 p/hr (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
  • Location: Yeovil (3 / 4 days onsite)

As a Project Controller, you will play a critical role in maintaining project performance, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the Programme Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, integrate, and maintain the project master schedule and SAP WBS in line with contractual scope, baselines, and company procedures.
  • Review, analyse, and track project performance cost, schedule, metrics and highlight variances with clear, data‑driven insights.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, scenario modelling, and impact assessments.
  • Prepare and present monthly Cost & Performance Reports (CPR).
  • Maintain schedule baselines, process approved changes, and manage interfaces across sub‑projects.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of all project data within SAP and MS Project.
  • Support risk identification, quantification, and review cycles.
  • Monitor mitigation actions and report against risk exposure.
  • Coordinate customer change proposals, maintain change registers, and collate cost impacts.
  • Raise purchase requisitions and complete service receipts to support broader project needs.

You'll play a central part in maintaining and improving project performance, focusing heavily on cost, schedule, risk, and data accuracy across assigned programmes.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in planning/scheduling within aerospace or a similar environments.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Project, and common Microsoft applications.
  • Proactive, self start with an analytical mindset
  • Excellent organisational, time‑management, and communication skills.
  • Effective team player with the confidence to provide leadership when needed.
  • Ability to build strong, influential relationships across business functions.
