We are supporting our client in recruiting for a BMS Operations & Maintenance Engineer for a major data center in West London. This is a fully site based, hands on role supporting critical facility operations. Ideal for someone who thrives in high‑availability environments and has solid technical grounding in mission critical infrastructure.

The Role

You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the Building Management System (BMS) across all key mechanical and environmental systems. You will play a vital part in incident response, environmental monitoring and ensuring equipment uptime in a 24/7 data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure via BMS platforms
• Responding quickly and effectively to alarms and incidents
• Managing and optimising HVAC/cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, AHUs)
• Supporting scheduled maintenance and vendor activity
• Troubleshooting issues with sensors, field devices, BMS controllers
• Maintaining accurate documentation, logs and compliance data
• Assisting with BMS updates, system backups and health checks
• Analysing trend data to support efficiency and capacity planning

Candidate Requirements (Must‑Have)

🔹 Proven Data Center experience is essential

(This role requires hands‑on understanding of critical facility operations and the behaviours of BMS systems in live data center environments.)

🔹 Full eligibility to work in the UK; no sponsorship available

(Due to contract nature, candidates must already have right‑to‑work status.)

🔹 Strong technical knowledge of cooling, power and environmental controls

🔹 Experience working with SOPs/MOPs/EOPs

🔹 Ability to stay calm and effective during alarms or high‑pressure scenarios

🔹 Excellent communication and reporting capability

🔹 Available for an ASAP start

🔹 Comfortable working 100% on site
