Stores Person (Goods In & Kitting)
Duration - 12 weeks
Rate - £21.92ph PAYE
Location - Gosport
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and managing goods incoming to the warehouse, as well as assembling and kitting components to support production and operational needs. This role requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, check, and process incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure accurate recording of all goods received and update inventory systems accordingly.
- Store goods safely and systematically in designated areas.
- Prepare and assemble kits and sets of components as per production or operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and perform regular stock counts.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the storage areas.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and other departments to fulfil stock and kitting requests.
- Identify and report damaged or missing goods.
- Follow health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with stock rotation, disposal of obsolete items, and other warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in stores or inventory management is advantageous.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
