To succeed, the candidate must bring a strong technical foundation combined with proven experience in project execution or commissioning environments. A background at B.Sc. level or equivalent is expected, along with relevant project management experience and preferably certification such as IPMA or PMP. Equally important is the ability to lead in a site‑based environment, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive structured execution under pressure.
Prior experience working within similar commissioning governance structures, reporting frameworks, documentation standards, and EPC delivery models is preferred. The consultant must have extensive hands‑on experience with SCADA commissioning in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, including direct experience with Hitachi MicroSCADA and Substation Control Systems. An in‑depth understanding of national grid compliance requirements and practical experience ensuring SCADA systems meet grid code obligations during commissioning is essential. The individual must be capable of independently managing interfaces without requiring escalation for fundamental compliance issues.
A minimum of five years of relevant experience supported by a technical background at B.Sc. level or equivalent is required. Experience aligned with IPMA B/C, PMP, or equivalent frameworks is advantageous. Strong stakeholder management skills, structured documentation practices, and the ability to perform effectively under high‑pressure commissioning conditions are expected. Valid GWO certification is mandatory.
