Shopfloor Scheduler - 12‑Month Contract
Location: Gloucester
Pay: £19.92 per hour PAYE (£22.31 including holiday) or £26.66 Umbrella
Hours: Full-time, on-site

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised Production Shopfloor Scheduler to join our team on a 12 month contract. Working closely with Production, Procurement, and Logistics, you will play a vital role in ensuring all parts and components are available to meet operational plans and production deadlines.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross‑functionally to solve problems and keep processes moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and update daily and weekly shopfloor schedules.
- Ensure the timely availability of parts, materials, and components for production.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to monitor order status and escalate any risks.
- Work closely with logistics to track deliveries and resolve supply issues.
- Communicate schedule changes, shortages, and priorities clearly to production teams.
- Analyse stock levels and identify potential bottlenecks or shortages.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in production scheduling, materials planning or shopfloor coordination (ideally within manufacturing).
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Clear communication and confidence working across multiple departments.
- Able to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and competent in MS Office applications.
