An opportunity has arisen for a Boatbuilder to join our client on a contract basis.
You will be responsible for the installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of marine structures and equipment on lifeboats undergoing refit, with a strong emphasis on deck fitting and equipment installation.
The ideal candidate will have proven boatbuilding experience within a composite environment. Applicants from related composite focused industries, such as aerospace, may also be considered where skills closely align with the role requirements.
You must be confident working from engineering drawings and standardised work instructions, delivering work safely, accurately, and efficiently. Working as part of a multi‑disciplined team, you will help ensure lifeboats are built and refitted on time, within budget, and to our client's quality and safety standards.
The production facility offers a clean, organised, and safe working environment, with all tools, materials, and PPE provided to support high quality craftsmanship.
Contract Details:
- Duration: Approx. 4 months (long term sick cover)
- Hours: 42 hours per week, start time 7:00am or 7:30am
- PAYE: £17.50/h plus £2.11/h holiday pay
- Umbrella: £23.44/h
