About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and driven Process Development Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team based in Kent. You'll play a key role in developing, improving, and delivering high‑quality interconnection solutions for our customers, ensuring we remain fast, flexible, and competitive in the market.

This is a hands-on, on-site role where you'll work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and customers to ensure new products and processes are introduced smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing robust solutions to production issues and minimising line stops.

  • Using NRFT data to plan and implement process improvements that enhance delivery performance while maintaining exceptional quality.

  • Working with Development Engineers to ensure strong, scalable processes for transitioning NPIs into production.

  • Managing product development projects, ensuring:

    • On-time delivery

    • Budget adherence

    • Strong relationships with customers and suppliers

    • Smooth handover into Production

  • Representing the business in customer meetings, both on-site and off-site.

  • Supporting Operations with the introduction of new processes and resolving production challenges.

  • Supporting Quality with investigations, corrective actions, and process improvements.

  • Contributing to the development of engineering systems, tools, and processes that drive customer satisfaction and business profitability.

  • Supporting the Technology Plan by identifying and developing new technologies that strengthen the company's competitive advantage.

What You'll Bring

  • A relevant engineering degree

  • Strong mechanical engineering skills

  • Experience with CAD tools (SolidEdge preferred)

  • Project management experience (MS Project preferred)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and a proactive approach
