Our client is seeking an experienced Data & AI Solutions Architect to shape and lead the design of modern cloud‑based data and AI platforms for enterprise clients. This is a client‑facing consulting role, ideal for someone who can bridge business goals with robust, future‑proof technical architectures - and guide delivery teams in bringing those solutions to life.
You will be at the forefront of designing end‑to‑end data and AI ecosystems across Azure and Microsoft Fabric, enabling organisations to unlock insight, automation and value from their data. From discovery through to delivery, you will influence technical direction, shape roadmaps, and ensure solutions are both visionary and practical.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Client-Facing Solution Design
- Shape and lead data and AI architectures that connect business priorities to scalable, modern cloud platforms.
- Run discovery, assessment and design workshops, turning needs into actionable solution patterns.
- Translate high‑level strategy into detailed architectural designs, ensuring clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
Architect Modern Data & AI Platforms
- Design end‑to‑end data platforms, including ingestion, lakehouse/warehouse, semantic models and analytics layers.
- Architect solutions using Azure and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring scalability and long-term maintainability.
- Integrate Machine Learning and AI capabilities into the wider data ecosystem to support predictive and generative use cases.
Provide Technical Leadership & Delivery Assurance
- Produce roadmaps, architecture artefacts and platform documentation to guide engineering teams.
- Support key architectural decisions and ensure best practice across security, governance and performance.
- Offer hands‑on technical oversight throughout solution implementation.
Support Pre-Sales & Client Growth
- Contribute to pre‑sales activity, including solution shaping, PoCs, proposals and executive presentations.
- Articulate the value of data and AI platforms to senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Help drive client adoption of modern cloud capabilities, acting as a trusted advisor.
Requirements:
- Experience across data, analytics or solution architecture roles.
- Strong experience architecting solutions on Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Synapse, Data Factory, OneLake).
- Solid understanding of AI/ML solution patterns, including integration with modern data platforms.
- Proven ability to run workshops, lead design engagements and simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder-facing skills, including senior engagement and influence.
- Ability to produce clear architectural documentation, roadmaps and decision frameworks.
- A strategic yet pragmatic mindset - balancing innovation with delivery reality.
