About the Role

Our client is seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse/Stores Person to support the smooth and efficient running of their warehouse operations. This role ensures accurate stock handling, well-maintained inventory processes, and consistent support to production teams, following established Standard Operating Procedures.

Goods In / Goods Out

  • Verify incoming and outgoing goods against approved schedules, ensuring correct materials and quantities.
  • Safely load and unload palletised stock to and from vehicles or the shop floor.
  • Ensure correct labelling of products and complete required documentation.

Stock Control & System Accuracy

  • Complete timely and accurate inter-warehouse transfers both physically and within the system.
  • Maintain accurate stock figures across all warehouse areas.
  • Follow procedures when dispatching or issuing stock.
  • Perform daily warehouse checks including forklift inspections and silo readings.

Production Support

  • Issue materials to the shop floor between according to the shift pattern.
  • Issue and return materials using approved system processes.
  • Maintain consumable stock levels such as packaging and liners.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure damaged or non‑conforming products are handled according to procedure.
  • Prepare warehouse locations for finished goods and upcoming deliveries.
  • Process customer returns and stock received from external warehouses.
  • Maintain 5S standards and general housekeeping.

Logistics & Communication

  • Manage tanker arrivals and departures ensuring correct silo destination adherence.
  • Coordinate collection of recyclable materials.
  • Liaise with hauliers and contractors regarding deliveries and dispatch schedules.

Additional Duties

  • Operate forklift trucks for stock movements.
  • Complete computer-based entries and run stock reports.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance for all personnel.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training to new or current employees.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certification.
  • Harness training (advantageous).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with clear communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and able to work within a team.
