Our client, a leading name in the data centre construction industry, is seeking a CSA Project Lead to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. The role is pivotal within the Energy and Data Centre sectors, ensuring the successful delivery of critical projects from inception to completion. This position requires a blend of strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills.
CSA Lead - Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall CSA Data Centre project cost, schedule, and budget from start to finish.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants for seamless project execution.
- Analyse and manage critical milestones to avoid schedule delays and ensure timely delivery.
- Review and evaluate construction proposals, pricing, and scopes of work.
- Lead client meetings and project coordination sessions.
- Monitor construction costs and prepare data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Oversee procurement methods and manage long-lead equipment delivery schedules.
- Audit cost estimates prepared by subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Support engineering and design decisions related to cost during design-build changes.
- Track equipment availability as per the project schedule.
- Coordinate scheduling consultant reviews and integrate with project controls.
- Approve invoices, payment applications, and retention payments.
- Manage the handover process, including close-out documentation, warranties, and final deliverables.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a similar project lead role within the energy or data centre sectors.
- Strong understanding of CSA project management methodologies and engineering management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and relevant project management tools.
- Ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Data Centre Commercial awareness with a solid grasp of Data Centre project financial management and cost control.
- Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
- Capable of working under pressure to meet tight schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.
