Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA), is currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor to join their team in Hull. The organisation provides engineering apprenticeships and adult skills training to numerous companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training in mechanical engineering
- Conducting training sessions in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
- Instructing on the operation of lathe and milling machines
- Teaching the safe use of hand tools
- Providing training in hydraulics or pneumatics
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety practices and procedures
- Utilising chemical process industry knowledge and/or CAD if applicable
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
- Experience operating lathe and milling machines
- Familiarity with hydraulics or pneumatics
- Proficiency in health & safety practices and procedures
- Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification
- Good interpersonal and computer skills
- Full driving licence
- Knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD (desirable)
