Our client, a leading authority in building control within the public sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2D) to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with current building regulations and standards
  • Assessing and evaluating construction methods and materials for safety and regulatory adherence
  • Providing guidance and recommendations to builders, contractors, and developers
  • Preparing and issuing detailed reports on inspection findings and compliance status
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections and correspondence
  • Conducting follow-up inspections to verify remediation of identified issues
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in building inspection, particularly in the buildings sector
  • Holder of a Class 2D certification in Building Control
  • Strong understanding of current building regulations and standards
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to provide clear and practical advice to a range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in report writing and maintaining accurate records
  • Flexible approach to working hours and locations as required
