Our client, a leading authority in building control within the public sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2D) to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with current building regulations and standards
- Assessing and evaluating construction methods and materials for safety and regulatory adherence
- Providing guidance and recommendations to builders, contractors, and developers
- Preparing and issuing detailed reports on inspection findings and compliance status
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections and correspondence
- Conducting follow-up inspections to verify remediation of identified issues
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building inspection, particularly in the buildings sector
- Holder of a Class 2D certification in Building Control
- Strong understanding of current building regulations and standards
- Excellent observational and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to provide clear and practical advice to a range of stakeholders
- Proficient in report writing and maintaining accurate records
- Flexible approach to working hours and locations as required
