Our client, a prominent entity in the highways sector, is seeking a Highway Safety Inspector on a contract basis. The role is integral to maintaining the quality and safety of the highway infrastructure, adhering to best practices and regulatory codes of conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine highway safety inspections
- Dealing with customer enquiries in accordance with the Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan
- Implementing risk-based approaches as set out in the Well-Managed Highway Code of Practice
- Identifying and reporting defects
- Performing risk assessments associated with highway safety
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway safety inspections, particularly within local authority regimes
- Understanding of the Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan
- Familiarity with inspection systems such as Symology, Aurora, or similar
- Relevant professional accreditations or certificates
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with customer enquiries
- Strong analytical skills for defect identification and risk assessment
