Our client, a leading firm in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer specialising in Risk & Assurance to join their team in Christchurch on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting risk assessments and providing assurance across various cyber security projects
  • Analysing potential threats and vulnerabilities to inform risk management strategies
  • Developing and implementing security controls to mitigate identified risks
  • Collaborating with other cyber analysts and engineers to maintain a secure IT infrastructure
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation, including risk assessment findings and security recommendations
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Providing expertise and guidance on cyber security best practices
  • Participating in incident response activities when necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in cyber security roles, particularly in risk assessment and assurance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Experience with relevant security tools and software
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site full time with security clearance (SC) and adhere to ITAR and UK Eyes Only regulations
  • Capability to work in a collaborative team environment
