As Europe's only dedicated Data Centre delivery partner, Winthrop has established itself as the most trusted provider in this rapidly expanding sector. We are currently delivering multiple large‑scale Data Centre projects across seven European countries, totalling over 430 MW of active IT load.
We are now seeking an experienced Structural Lead to join our team on a major Data Centre development based in Helsinki, Finland. This is a key leadership position within our project team, responsible for driving structural performance, quality, and delivery excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Performance Management

  • Develop, manage, and track project plans covering costs, budgets, labour forecasting, commissioning strategies, and overall project performance.
  • Lead the setup of all structural activities, ensuring best‑practice reporting, documentation, and scheduling processes are in place from day one.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain close, continuous communication with key project stakeholders-including the client and design teams-to ensure alignment and successful structural delivery.
  • Manage and optimise client satisfaction throughout the project, particularly regarding scope, budget, and schedule expectations on a complex Data Centre build.

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Proactively monitor and guide health and safety performance, promoting a strong culture of safe behaviour within the project team.
  • Oversee and ensure that project quality targets are consistently met or exceeded, supporting the high standards required for mission‑critical Data Centre facilities.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant construction, structural, or engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering CSA elements on major projects within a contracting environment (essential).
  • Strong organisational, communication, and time‑management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and strategic perspective.
  • A proactive, diligent, and forward‑thinking mindset.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to delegate effectively, prioritise workloads, run efficient meetings, and set a positive example for the team.
