Our client BAE Systems, a leader in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join their Electronic Systems business unit onsite in Rochester. This is a 12-month contract position with a focus on driving engineering projects in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage engineering projects through the full lifecycle, defining the execution strategy and ensuring compliant products and services are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide technical direction, making key technical decisions and balancing trade-offs between various factors.
- Collaborate with global customers and supply chain, operating as cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing innovative engineering practices, solutions, and technologies.
- Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Guide and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Job Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in leading engineering projects for electronic real-time systems.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related field.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A driven individual with a passion for engineering and a desire to deliver outstanding results.
Desirable:
- Experience in Aerospace, Avionics, or Maritime sectors.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
