Our client, a leading company in the transmission and power distribution sector, is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager - Mission Critical for a role based in Dallas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Management team in overseeing project safety, quality, schedule, and cost control
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish safety and health performance standards
  • Participate in developing and implementing project plans, including execution, quality assurance, and safety plans
  • Support the negotiation and execution of various contracts and purchase orders
  • Oversee the mobilisation and demobilisation plans for construction sites
  • Manage project permits and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate project documentation, including RFI's, submittals, and meeting minutes
  • Facilitate project cost reporting, scheduling, and field progress tracking
  • Assist in project safety, quality, progress, and financial audits
  • Ensure proper inventory control and material management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; applicable experience may be substituted
  • Experience in construction management, particularly in the electrical transmission & distribution sectors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and project management software
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to multi-task and handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience on construction project sites or in program management across varied industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, and manufacturing
