We have an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Manager to join a major Nuclear Defence project in Berkshire. This role offers the chance to work on one of the UK's most complex and challenging programmes, supporting the successful commissioning and demonstration of specialist equipment, building services and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on safety requirements for commissioning activities
  • Manage and deliver commissioning work packages within a complex infrastructure environment
  • Apply AWE commissioning procedures and ONR Licence Condition 21 requirements
  • Support and implement the Project Commissioning Strategy
  • Manage supplier test documentation, including review and approval
  • Plan, coordinate and witness FAT, SAT and site commissioning activities
  • Integrate commissioning requirements into the project programme
  • Monitor prerequisites, manage test failures and produce lessons learned
  • Chair commissioning reviews and provide regular progress updates
  • Ensure safe, compliant and coordinated commissioning across all work packages

About You

  • Significant experience commissioning large, complex facilities
  • Proven background in defence or similarly regulated technical environments
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of commissioning methodologies and best practice
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
  • Computer literate (Microsoft applications)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Holds SC or DV clearance, or willing to obtain
