As a Technical Lead in the innovation programme team, you'll be at the heart of the work in RF Directed Energy Systems a fast growing, strategically important area for the business and the UK defence sector. In this role, you will:
- Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering RF DEW development activities.
- Oversee electromagnetic modelling, electrical architecture analysis, system testing and design.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Lead to drive design decisions, trade‑off studies and technical direction.
- Take accountability for technical leadership, project delivery and budget management.
- Shape cutting‑edge technology that will influence future defence capability.
What we're looking for:
- Proven track record delivering complex engineering development activities.
- Experience leading teams, encouraging collaboration and driving technical delivery.
- A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or similar.
- Experience with project planning, work package management or programme delivery
- Willingness to undertake DV-level security clearance
Desirable experience in any of the following areas:
- High‑power RF systems
- Electrical/electronic architecture
- Electromagnetic modelling
- RF testing
