Delivery Manager
We're looking for a Delivery Manager to join our client's technology team in a hands‑on, proactive role focused on unblocking work, navigating dependencies, and keeping delivery moving smoothly across a small, specialist team.
This role is ideal for an ambitious Project Manager or someone who has stepped into a Delivery Manager role previously and enjoys working close to the detail - coordinating people, priorities, and dependencies rather than leading large teams or owning formal delivery governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a central point of coordination across multiple technology and transformation initiatives, ensuring dependencies, risks, and priorities are clearly understood and managed.
- Proactively identify delivery blockers and work with scrum, engineers, product, and stakeholders to resolve them quickly.
- Support planning and sequencing of work across a small team, keeping delivery aligned and realistic.
- Ensure the right skills are applied to the right pieces of work, helping teams stay focused and effective.
- Facilitate collaboration across functions, enabling teams to deliver outcomes without friction.
- Take ownership of small projects or workstreams where needed, ensuring progress is tracked and communicated.
- Maintain pragmatic delivery processes that support momentum rather than slow it down.
Requirements
- Experience in a delivery‑focused role such as Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar within a technology or digital environment.
- Comfortable working in settings where delivery success is driven by coordination, influence, and problem‑solving, rather than formal authority.
- Strong understanding of modern delivery approaches, including agile teams, platform environments, and managing cross‑team dependencies.
- Confident and effective communicator, able to build strong working relationships with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and well‑organised, with the ability to work independently and anticipate issues before they impact delivery.
- Retail or ecommerce experience is advantageous, but not essential.
- Willingness to travel on‑site to Fareham as required.
