- To be responsible for highway bridges and structures, multi storey car parks and corporate non-adopted structures asset management. The role includes the development of maintenance strategies, inspection, assessment, the creation of forward programmes and the development of business cases for major maintenance.
- Experience of highway development control, specifically advising on the detailed audit of bridge schemes submitted in support of section 38, 278 and section 106 agreements.
- Knowledge of the key functions of a local highway authority.
- Good working knowledge of the Codes of Practice for Management of Highway Structures and ICE Recommendations for the Inspection, Maintenance and Management of Car Park Structures.
- Good working knowledge of the Manual for Streets, the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to Highway Works
- Able to represent the Council and explain and defend Highway Asset Management decisions at various meetings, including council meetings, and at public and other meetings with developers and others.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
- Good communicator.

- 37 hours a week min
- Monday to Friday
