Our client, a respected leader in the construction and engineering industry, is currently seeking a SHES (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Sustainability) Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with all SHES regulations and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing SHES policies and procedures in alignment with industry regulations and best practices
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure SHES standards are met
  • Providing comprehensive SHES training and guidance to employees and subcontractors
  • Investigating accidents and incidents, and preparing detailed reports with corrective actions
  • Collaborating with project managers to integrate SHES requirements into project planning and execution
  • Monitoring and reporting on SHES performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring environmental compliance, including waste management and pollution prevention
  • Promoting sustainability initiatives and fostering a culture of safety within the organisation

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in SHES management within the construction or engineering sectors
  • In-depth knowledge of SHES regulations and industry standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and audits
  • Proficiency in investigating accidents and incidents and recommending corrective actions
  • Understanding of environmental compliance and sustainability practices
  • Excellent organisational and report writing skills
  • Relevant certification or qualification in health and safety, environmental management, or a related field
