Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial expertise across the Civil and High-Voltage (HV) M&E installation interface. While an understanding of civil engineering works is essential, the role is predominantly focused on high-voltage electrical infrastructure, which forms the core of the delivery scope.
The successful candidate will manage the full range of Quantity Surveying responsibilities on complex infrastructure projects, working closely with Project and Contracts Managers to ensure commercial success and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the full Quantity Surveying function across assigned projects, from inception through to final account.
  • Manage cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Prepare, submit, and agree valuations, variations, and change control mechanisms.
  • Administer compensation events and contractual correspondence under NEC4 contracts.
  • Oversee subcontract procurement, management, and payment processes.
  • Lead on the preparation, negotiation, and agreement of final accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and Contracts Managers to manage risk, cost, and programme impacts.
  • Ensure commercial best practice is applied across HV electrical and associated civil works.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven commercial experience at the Civil & HV M&E installation interface.
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical infrastructure, including associated civil elements.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects under NEC4 forms of contract.
  • Confidence managing complex commercial and contractual matters independently.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on major power, utilities, energy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Background in large, technically complex project environments with multiple subcontractors and interfaces.
