Our client, a reputable organisation within the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Control, Electrical, and Instrumentation (CE&I) Responsible Engineer (RE) to join their team on a contract basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing CE&I design and engineering aspects, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the nuclear licenced site requirements. You will lead and manage the CE&I designers, whether they are internal engineering and design teams or external consultants or subcontractors, ensuring the timely, budget-compliant, and technically sound delivery of designs. All designs must be safe, sustainable, and efficient to construct.
Ensuring adherence to management systems, including digital processes and systems, will be a key part of your responsibility to provide assurance to stakeholders that design works are conducted appropriately. The Infrastructure Delivery Partnership aims to deliver asset care and project work on existing site infrastructure, introducing new capabilities to enhance the site's infrastructure. This includes managing contracts from inception, design, and construction through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the CE&I design and engineering aspects of the Programme
  • Lead and manage internal and external CE&I designers
  • Ensure all designs are delivered on time, within budget, and are technically compliant
  • Adhere to management systems and digital processes to assure stakeholders
  • Coordinate detailed design, procurement, installation, construction, commissioning, and handover activities

Job Requirements:

  • Experience as a Control, Electrical, and Instrumentation (CE&I) Engineer
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Proven ability to deliver technically compliant designs within budget and on time
  • Knowledge of digital processes and systems within design management
  • Understanding of nuclear licenced site requirements

  • Demineralised water treatment and conditioning plant
  • On-site chemical distribution system & support structures
  • Sewage treatment plant
  • Improvements to rail and road tanker off-load facility
