Our client, a prominent player in the energy sector, is currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager - Global Facilities to join their team in Atlanta, GA. This permanent role is focused on managing large-scale projects within distribution, transmission, power distribution, and energy. The Construction Project Manager will provide vital support to the EPC Project Manager or Program Manager, overseeing operations from pre-construction through to project completion and warranty periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day construction activities and ensure the successful execution of single or multiple projects simultaneously
- Adhere to and promote the company's safety programs, trainings, and policies, including managing the Safety & Health performance of project team members and subcontractors
- Facilitate project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establish critical project objectives
- Develop and maintain client relationships, assisting with proposals and project-related items
- Participate in internal and external project risk reviews and negotiate contracts and change orders
- Implement sections of the Project Execution Plan, including construction execution, quality assurance, and staffing plans
- Oversee development plans for site layout, mobilization, and demobilization
- Review and communicate project reports and status updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely distribution of deliverables
- Manage project documentation, including RFI's, submittals, and change management processes
- Oversee project safety, quality, and financial audits and assessments
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and ensure compliance with company policies
Job Requirements:
- Experience in project management within the construction industry, with a background in engineering or related fields
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with project management software
- Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience on construction project sites or with program management across industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, and more
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Capability to meet driving requirements
