Infrastructure Project Manager
Location: Portsmouth (Hybrid - minimum 2 days on site)
Contract: 6 months
Security Clearance: SC Security Clearance required
We are seeking experienced Infrastructure Project Managers to support a major MOD client at Portsmouth Naval Base.
The Role
You will be responsible for the delivery of infrastructure project management services supporting the development of a site-wide master plan and RIBA Stage 2 design for a major £900m accommodation programme.
This is a pre-construction role, focused on planning and design development rather than construction delivery. You will play a key role in coordinating and managing client-side resources within the project team, ensuring robust design management and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver infrastructure project management services at Portsmouth Naval Base
- Manage and coordinate client-side project resources
- Support the development of a site-wide master plan
- Manage RIBA Stage 2 design activities
- Ensure effective infrastructure design management throughout the project lifecycle
- Engage with multiple stakeholders to support successful project outcomes
Skills & Experience
- Proven infrastructure design management experience (essential)
- Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- NEC4 experience is highly desirable (training can be provided if required)
- Strong client-facing and coordination skills
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified
- Ideally hold a professional project management qualification such as:
- APM PMQ
- APM ChPP / CPP
- Other equivalent practitioner-level project management qualifications will be considered
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week on site at Portsmouth Naval Base
- On-site presence may increase to 3 days per week during peak project periods, based on client requirements
