Our client, a leader in the data centre sector, is currently seeking a Facade Manager to join their dynamic team in Dublin. This permanent role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in the delivery of a major data centre project by leading a team dedicated to maintaining high standards and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review facade and envelope designs using advanced CAD and BIM tools
  • Perform structural analysis to ensure envelope stability under various load conditions
  • Select appropriate envelope materials considering durability, fire safety, thermal performance, and sustainability
  • Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, standards, and environmental guidelines
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to achieve integrated solutions
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics related to envelope systems
  • Conduct site inspections to confirm design implementation and quality assurance
  • Integrate energy-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions into building envelope projects
  • Evaluate and propose new materials, technologies, and construction methods to improve performance
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation for client approvals and regulatory permits
  • Provide guidance to the construction team on envelope-related engineering issues
  • Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
  • Professional engineering licence (Chartered Engineer or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience in building envelope or facade engineering within commercial or institutional construction projects
  • Proven experience with structural calculations, finite element analysis, and material selection for envelopes
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, standards, and environmental guidelines
  • Proficiency in using advanced CAD and BIM tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
