Our client, a leader in the data centre sector, is currently seeking a Facade Manager to join their dynamic team in Dublin. This permanent role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in the delivery of a major data centre project by leading a team dedicated to maintaining high standards and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review facade and envelope designs using advanced CAD and BIM tools
- Perform structural analysis to ensure envelope stability under various load conditions
- Select appropriate envelope materials considering durability, fire safety, thermal performance, and sustainability
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, standards, and environmental guidelines
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to achieve integrated solutions
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics related to envelope systems
- Conduct site inspections to confirm design implementation and quality assurance
- Integrate energy-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions into building envelope projects
- Evaluate and propose new materials, technologies, and construction methods to improve performance
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation for client approvals and regulatory permits
- Provide guidance to the construction team on envelope-related engineering issues
- Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
- Professional engineering licence (Chartered Engineer or equivalent) preferred
- Experience in building envelope or facade engineering within commercial or institutional construction projects
- Proven experience with structural calculations, finite element analysis, and material selection for envelopes
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, standards, and environmental guidelines
- Proficiency in using advanced CAD and BIM tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
