Our client, a leading player in the Transmission and Distribution sector, is currently seeking a skilled Construction Manager with extensive experience in substation and HV projects to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves managing the interface between construction and design teams, ensuring integration and coordination across all disciplines within a major industrial/commercial construction project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the interface between construction and designers
  • Handling TQ management and programme control
  • Coordinating and integrating within the construction team
  • Managing sub-contractors and overseeing the installation of all MEP building services deliverables
  • Managing QA, testing, and commissioning of general building services including electrical and small power LV mains and sub-distribution, air conditioning, MVHR, supply and extract ventilation, public health installation, fire detection installation, telephony and LAN installation, BMS system, fire hydrant packaged pump room installation
  • Supervising the commissioning tasks and BIU through sub-contractors
  • Controlling documentation through systems such as ACONEX or Project Wise

Job Requirements:

  • ECS Electrical Site Managers Card
  • CSCS, SMSTS certifications
  • City & Guilds Electrical Installation Engineering qualifications
  • Electrical qualifications in testing and inspection
  • Experience in project management
  • Mechanical installation knowledge and appreciation
  • Understanding of document control systems
  • Willingness to work away from home as necessary

Job Details:

  • Contract duration: 6 months with possible extension
  • Working hours: 08:00 - 17:00, 5 days a week on site
