Our client, a leading player in the Transmission and Distribution sector, is currently seeking a skilled Construction Manager with extensive experience in substation and HV projects to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves managing the interface between construction and design teams, ensuring integration and coordination across all disciplines within a major industrial/commercial construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the interface between construction and designers
- Handling TQ management and programme control
- Coordinating and integrating within the construction team
- Managing sub-contractors and overseeing the installation of all MEP building services deliverables
- Managing QA, testing, and commissioning of general building services including electrical and small power LV mains and sub-distribution, air conditioning, MVHR, supply and extract ventilation, public health installation, fire detection installation, telephony and LAN installation, BMS system, fire hydrant packaged pump room installation
- Supervising the commissioning tasks and BIU through sub-contractors
- Controlling documentation through systems such as ACONEX or Project Wise
Job Requirements:
- ECS Electrical Site Managers Card
- CSCS, SMSTS certifications
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation Engineering qualifications
- Electrical qualifications in testing and inspection
- Experience in project management
- Mechanical installation knowledge and appreciation
- Understanding of document control systems
- Willingness to work away from home as necessary
Job Details:
- Contract duration: 6 months with possible extension
- Working hours: 08:00 - 17:00, 5 days a week on site
