Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Manufacturing Controller with a Forklift License to join them on a contract basis at their site in Bristol.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the British nationality and be willing to undergo security checks.
- 12 month initial contract.
- Fully onsite in Bristol.
- £23.91 - £25.26 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.
The Manufacturing Controller role will involve issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a stores environment. Loading, control and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Stock control / storekeeping including shelf-life control.
- Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.
- Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing of tooling.
- Updating computer records.
- Kitting activity.
- Loading and unloading of Lorries.
Skillset/experience required:
- Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.
- Follow instructions.
- Fork lift truck licence.
- Willing to work flexible shift patterns.
- Attention to detail.
- Work on own with minimal supervision.
- Use own initiative.
- Manual handling training.
- Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).
- ESD training.
