Our client, a prominent player in the water industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager for an exciting contract position. This significant £30m+ pipeline project extends 16km from Oldbury to Meriden, between Nuneaton and Coventry. The project involves the installation of a 1200mm diameter polyethylene pipe, traversing rural areas, the M6, A45, and a section of ancient woodland, over a 2-year build period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a core team of agents, engineers, foremen, and work teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Overseeing all aspects of safety, commercial, programme, and stakeholder management
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Coordinating with various stakeholders including contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
- Implementing and managing digital platforms relevant to project execution
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water industry
- Proven leadership abilities in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of groundworks, temporary works, and clean water systems
- Experience in working with client and contractor digital platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to effectively manage commercial aspects of the project
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
