Our client, involved in the Transmission and Distribution sector, is currently seeking a Site Manager with SR163 accreditation for a contract role. This key role will be based at Hackney, overseeing significant upgrades and transformations to an existing substation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the mobilisation phase and setting up site welfare facilities
- Coordinating initial civil activities, including ground investigation surveys
- Managing the installation of two new 400/66kV transformers to replace existing 275/66kV transformers
- Supervising the replacement of 66kV cables and removal of 275kV cables
- Ensuring the HV side of the new transformers is connected to the switchgear using GIB
- Managing the tee-off of new 400/66kV transformers from Waltham Cross - Hackney circuits
- Overseeing the removal of 400/275kV interbus transformers at the site
- Maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and project timelines
Job Requirements:
- SR163 accreditation
- Experience within the Transmission and Distribution sector
- Proficiency in managing complex mobilisation phases and site set-ups
- Strong coordination skills for managing civil activities and ground investigations
- Understanding of high voltage transformer installation and cable replacement
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to strict safety standards
