Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Streetworks Officer/Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. This role is integral to ensuring street and highway works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with legislation and permit conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting street works to ensure compliance with NRSWA, permit schemes, and codes of practice
- Identifying defects, non-compliance, and safety issues, and taking appropriate enforcement action
- Liaising with utility companies, contractors, and internal teams
- Recording inspections and findings accurately using electronic systems
- Supporting the coordination of works to minimise disruption to the public
Job Requirements:
- Experience in street works, highways, or inspection roles
- Good working knowledge of NRSWA and associated regulations
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage inspections across the network
