Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Highways Maintenance Inspector/Engineer for a contract role within the Highways sector. This important position involves ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of highways in one of London's busiest boroughs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections and assessments of highways and related infrastructure
- Identifying maintenance needs and prioritising repair works
- Coordinating and supervising maintenance activities, including repairs and resurfacing
- Ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
- Preparing reports and maintenance records for management review
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
- Monitoring and managing the budget for maintenance projects
- Responding to emergency maintenance situations and providing effective solutions
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highways maintenance or a related field
- Strong understanding of maintenance techniques and best practices
