Our client, is seeking a Structures Engineer / Inspector to join their team for a crucial highways project. This is a contract role based near Pitlochry, with a start date of mid-June and a duration extending until February 2028.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting highways bridges
- Overseeing construction and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation on findings and progress
- Collaborating with engineering teams and contractors to develop and implement engineering solutions
- Conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations for mitigation strategies
- Liaising with stakeholders to communicate project updates and address any issues
- Ensuring all activities adhere to relevant codes and regulations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway and bridge engineering
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in using relevant engineering software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce clear and concise technical reports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Relevant degree in civil or structural engineering
- Experience working on site-based projects and inspections
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations
- CSCS card
