Our client, a leading contractor in the water industry, is currently seeking a Section Engineer to join their team for an exciting project with Southern Water. This is a contract role, outside IR35, focusing on the Clean Water Treatment Works (WTW) Southern Water AMP8 project. The initial contract duration is six months, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating site activities across engineering, construction, and subcontract teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works
  • Overseeing site logistics, short-term planning, and productivity tracking
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ)
  • Ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders
  • Fostering workforce competence and compliance with established procedures
  • Supporting progress reporting and logistics planning
  • Facilitating the successful handover of completed works

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in civil engineering, preferably within the water sector
  • Understanding of site logistics, planning, and productivity tracking
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Capability to ensure compliance with established procedures
  • Proficiency in progress reporting and logistics planning
  • Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
