Following the extension of a long term framework, a leading main contractor is seeking to employ a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established team in Manchester.

This excellent opportunity will see you work on a fast paced framework so we are looking for candidates who would thrive working in this environment. The projects value from £100,000 - £20 million all being delivered using fixed price, target cost and cost reimbursable contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce monthly accounting, costing, contract management, and financial information.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on the bill of quantities, specifications, and contractual implications of ongoing and new projects.
  • Coordinate with the client regarding costing information, highlighting and managing any variations to cost or specifications.
  • Engage with the client concerning the development and follow-up of business, including the provision of quotes for minor works.
  • Assist the Contracts Manager in preparing tender enquiries, responses, and determining the Company's charging structures.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in quantity surveying within fast-paced frameworks, whether in rail, telecommunications, power, or water sectors.
  • Strong understanding of contract management and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and analysing bills of quantities.
  • Excellent client liaison and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deliver accurate and insightful financial reports.
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
