To collect data relating to safety and future improvements so as to safeguard the travelling public, client and assist the Steward in all activities relating to inspections.
Identify defects out on site relating to all asset types.
Differentiate asset type and ownership.
Build relationships with stakeholders.
Raise works and enquiries within the data management system Confirm.
Review and close out customer enquiries.
Arrange and deliver potential enforcement letters.
Work closely with other divisions.
Attend office meetings and site meetings.
Build relationships with the client teams for any enforcement or NRSWA related issues.
Plus any other duties which are within the team duties and commensurate with the role.
What will this role involve?
Undertake inspections (Driven, walked or potential computer based)
Ensure accurate and effective collation of data and carry out inspections in accordance with the Well Maintained Highways General Code Of Practice.
Ensure accurate data is produced for the planning and delivery of works.
Comply with the relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
Ensure contract compliance on data quality management.
Communication with third party claims team to provide evidence in the defence claims.
Record time accurately in project control systems in a timely manner.
Represent the council in respect of claims against authority including attending court.
Attend all role dependant training courses.
What are we looking for?
Appropriate qualification with knowledge of relevant legislation and Codes of Practice or extensive experience in lieu of qualifications.
Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
Self-Motivated
Able to work alone and prioritise workload
Able to work under pressure
Able to manage stakeholders at all levels
Lantra trained would be desirable as would NRSWA qualified.
IT Literate Confirm management trained desirable
Knowledge of the network
Valid Driving Licence (Essential)
